STUART, Fla (CBS12) — A massive mural unveiled Saturday in Stuart is being touted by organizers as the largest wall mural created by a single artist in Florida and one of the largest of its kind in the United States.
The mural, located at H2Ocean’s facility along Florida’s Turnpike, spans approximately 36,000 square feet and was created by internationally known mural artist Jeks One. Organizers said the artwork stretches roughly 1,000 feet wide and 36 feet tall and was completed using more than 2,000 cans of spray paint.
The unveiling coincided with the announcement of what organizers say will be the first National Ecosystems Awareness Day, set for June 22.
