A new statewide effort to expand passenger rail in Wisconsin will launch later this month in Milwaukee.
The High Speed Rail Alliance and New Land Enterprises are hosting “Thinking Big About Wisconsin Passenger Rail” on Thursday, June 25, at the Oriental Theatre, 2230 N. Farwell Ave. Doors open at 1 p.m., with the main program running from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Organizers describe the half-day conference as the start of a broader push to develop stronger intercity rail connections across Wisconsin.
