Former Daphne star Pat White to have West Virginia jersey number retired

MORGANTOWN, WV (WKRG) – Former Daphne Trojans star and West Virginia Mountaineers quarterback Pat White will officially have his No. 5 jersey retired, according to a team press release.

The team announced on Friday that it will hold a special ceremony during one of the Mountaineers’ 2026 home games this upcoming season. That game is yet to be determined.

White arrived at West Virginia as a three-star athlete out of Daphne. He would be a full-time starter in his redshirt freshman season in 2005 through his senior season in 2008…
