Carrie French honored with memorial statue in Caldwell

CALDWELL — Cpl. Carrie French was known for loving pink roses, having a bright smile and a bubbly personality.

French’s life was cut short at 19 years old when she was killed in Kirkuk, Iraq, on June 5, 2005, after the vehicle carrying her was struck by an improvised explosive device buried along the roadside.
