TODAY:Today, we welcome slight chances for rain back into the forecast. Highs today will only get into the mid 80s under mostly cloudy skies. Most of the showers and storms will be confined to Alabama as dewpoints are running in the 70s there, but in Georgia, dewpoints are in the low to mid 60s, with some upper 60s in western Georgia, so some of the showers could cross into Georgia before falling apart.
THIS WEEK:We start out in the mid 80s under mostly cloudy skies for Monday, with more sunshine expected Tuesday through Thursday. Overnight lows will be near 70. Toward the end of the week, we’ll see temperatures get into the low 90s, and coupled with the increased humidity levels, heat index values Thursday through Saturday will be near 100°. Rain chances do ramp up a little heading into the weekend too, but definitely not a washout, and not everybody will see rain.

There is an area of moisture in the Caribbean, and by midweek it may try to work it’s way into the Gulf, but as of now, tropical development is not expected over the next 7 days.
