LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Collecting Pokémon cards might be a favorite pastime from childhood, but thousands gathered Sunday in Lexington for the Kentucky Card Show.

And just to give people something local to do in the community,” Director Chris Stinnett said. “Almost immediately, when we put these tables out or selling them out, we had over 100 people waiting outside before we opened up at 9 o’clock on a Sunday.”
It’s more than trading cards for a lot of people. Stinnett said having face-to-face interactions with people from all over makes the card show special.

You know, sometimes when you buy something online, you don’t really know what you’re going to get in the mail,” Stinnett said…
