Drivers and citizens in north Alabama are being advised to exercise caution as flooding creates dangerous conditions in the region.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has issued guidance for those driving as rainfall continues to flood roads.
“We urge motorists to use extreme caution and never attempt to drive through flooded roadways,” the agency said. “It only takes a small amount of moving water to sweep a vehicle off the roadway, and floodwaters often conceal damaged pavement, debris, washouts, and other hidden hazards.”…
