‘You are always part of Panther Nation’: Marlborough High School graduates Class of 2026

MARLBOROUGH — Strong academic performance gave salutatorian Skylar Monahan an opportunity to address her classmates during graduation. But in her speech, she stressed that GPA wasn’t everything.

In fact, it’s hardly indicative of anything at all, she said.

“The traditional definition of success really isn’t a good way to measure a meaningful life,” Monahan said. “It only tells us what someone achieved — it does not tell us who they become. It does not tell us how they treated people, whether they used their talents to help others, whether they left things better than they found them.”

And that’s really where Marlborough High School shines. On June 7, approximately 280 classmates gathered at John C. Noble Field at 1LT Charles W. Whitcomb Middle School. Diplomas were awarded, tassels were turned, and the Class of 2026 was celebrated with plenty of pomp and circumstance.

“Today, I’m surrounded by achievement,” said Monahan. “In this crowd there are athletes and artists, scholars and musicians, warriors and leaders. But more importantly, I am surrounded by good people. This class is full of unique and amazingly talented individuals.”…
