BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The United States Geological Survey reported an early morning earthquake in western North Carolina on Monday.
Officials said the 1.7 magnitude quake hit five miles east northeast of Weaverville at 5:36 a.m. It had a depth of five kilometers.
