The Clarksville City Council postponed an ordinance dissolving the Clarksville Parking Commission and rejected an employee benefits expansion on first reading during its most recent meeting last week.
Joe Shakeenab of Ward 11, who sponsored the parking ordinance, wanted to dissolve the Clarksville Parking Commission and transfer parking enforcement responsibilities to the Clarksville Police Department.
