(WHTM)– There are many ways thieves are targeting consumers to steal their money, and it’s crucial to be aware.
Four in 10 American adults experienced fraud, meaning money was stolen through manipulation or their identity was stolen and used fraudulently, according to AARP Senior Director of Fraud Prevention Kathy Stokes.
It’s a big number and a big problem that isn’t going away. People have to be vigilant, and there are some ways consumers can protect themselves.
