WILMINGTON, DE — ChristianaCare plans to open a new neighborhood hospital in Aston, Pennsylvania, this month, expanding emergency and inpatient capacity in Delaware County as healthcare providers face growing demand and access challenges across the region.
The facility, located at 700 Turner Industrial Way, is expected to begin operations following final approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. ChristianaCare said the hospital is projected to serve about 15,000 patients annually and will provide 24-hour emergency care, inpatient services, imaging, laboratory testing and virtual specialty consultations.
The hospital is the first phase of ChristianaCare’s planned Aston Campus and represents part of the health system’s broader expansion strategy in southeastern Pennsylvania.
