Fee House to be sold

ADRIAN — The Adrian City Commission has approved listing the property at 411 S. Main St., known as the Fee House, for sale.

The house was originally the home of local couple Harry and Harriet Kimball Fee, for whom the park directly across the street was named. Harry Fee was the creator of Hidden Lake Gardens, and Harriet, upon her death, created an endowment to fund the beautification and upkeep of Adrian’s city parks.

The house was bequeathed to the city upon the death of its most recent owner. The estate paid for a new roof before turning the property over, and then city staff did a great deal of work to prepare it for sale…
