CLOVER, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The York County Sheriff’s Office is investigating more than two dozen cases related to vehicle break-ins.
The incidents occurred between May 28 and May 30 off of Highway 274 and Highway 49 in Clover. At times, five suspects move from car to car, checking whether each is unlocked and stealing items if so, officials said.
The suspects are allegedly white men wearing masks and gloves. They were driving in a white Hyundai Elantra and a black sedan.
26 cases were reported with 34 vehicles entered. From 11 of the vehicles, the suspects reportedly stole firearms, ammunition, a holster, a car key, wallets with credit and debit cards, cash, and a checkbook. Nothing was stolen from the other 23 vehicles, deputies said…
