Columbus woman accused of shooting man in Kroger parking lot, trying to hit him with car

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A woman was charged after she allegedly tried to run a man over with her car before shooting him on Sunday morning in the parking lot of a Kroger in the University District, according to a criminal complaint.

Teanya Swanson, 36, allegedly tried to run the man over at the store located at 1350 North High Street, according to police. The man told officers he was trying to break up with her and left her home.

After he was almost hit in the parking lot, the man went over to Swanson’s vehicle and tried to calm her down, according to the complaint. Swanson reportedly said “I should shoot you, b****” before pulling out a gun and shooting him in the shoulder.
