Memphis man charged in alleged prison drug trafficking conspiracy

A Memphis man faces multiple felony charges after a multi-agency investigation uncovered an alleged conspiracy to smuggle narcotics into a state prison through a correctional officer.

Michael Jerome Flowers, 30, of Memphis, was arrested Friday by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office and charged with criminal conspiracy, bribery of a public servant, three counts of attempted introduction of contraband into a penal facility, possession of methamphetamine for resale, possession of Schedule II drugs for resale and possession of Schedule III drugs for resale.
