SALINA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a man accused of waving a knife at deputies and then barricading himself inside a Salina home last week.
64-year-old Hong V. Chu was arrested on June 5 after he allegedly waved a knife at deputies before running back inside the home, according to a statement from Deputy Doug Roser, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were at the scene on Bailey Road due to reports of a domestic dispute.
Chu is facing the following charges:
- Two counts of second-degree assault
- Two counts of menacing a police officer
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
His next court date is June 11. He was arraigned on June 6 and is still being held at a justice center as of about 4:45 Monday, June 8, the statement said…
