When a studio light caught fire mid-broadcast, Arkansas meteorologist Noah Simmons had a choice: evacuate or keep tracking down the tornado warnings in Fort Smith that had taken the station by surprise. He chose Fort Smith.
“So we just had a fire in the studio, but we got two tornado warnings, so we got to to keep tracking and covering this live,” Simmons said during CBS affiliate KFSM’s broadcast on Saturday, June 6.
