Man rescued from flooding at Sequiota Park in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – One man was rescued from Sequiota Park after flooding trapped him in a pavilion Monday morning.

The man was seen waiting under the pavilion at the center of the park with a bike and his belongings and standing on tables to avoid the water.

Springfield Fire’s water rescue unit arrived around 8:45 to help. The water started to recede, so they were able to walk to the pavilion and help the man walk out safely…
