SFPD names 2 motorcyclists who died in a crash over the weekend

Officials with the Sioux Falls Police Department on Monday, June 8, named two motorcyclists who died over the weekend in a crash on West Russell Street.

Sgt. Travis Olsen, with the SFPD traffic section, said 55-year-old Travis Gallop and 56-year-old Erik Boyles, both Sioux Falls residents, were riding their Harley Davidsons westbound on Russell Street west of North Kiwanis Avenue, when they were “attempting to negotiate the curve” side-by-side and collided with one another.

Each of them crashed into the metal guardrail and were thrown from their bikes…
