Buffalo Announces Schedule to Project World Cup Games on Silos

It is going to be a really cool opportunity to go see a World Cup match projected on Buffalo’s historic grain silos coming up this Summer and the first game is coming up on Friday.

On Friday June 12th, there will be a press conference, a parade by one of the local soccer clubs to the Duende bar where they will host the projection on the silos. New York State gave out tons and tons of money to certain locations across the State that were going to host World Cup watch parties and in Western New York–Silo City received the money. In addition, if other places want to host watch parties where they want drinking, places are welcomed to apply for one-day alcohol permits through New York State from the State Liquor Authority.

Here are the list of dates and times that World Cup matches will be projected on the grain silos:

  • Friday, 6/12, 9:00PM – USA v Paraguay
  • Friday, 6/25, 10:00PM – USA v Türkiye
  • Friday, 6/26, 8:00PM – Uruguay v Spain, followed by Belgium v New Zealand
  • Thursday, 7/2, 11:00PM – TBD (M85 – 1B v 3EFGIJ
  • Saturday, 7/11, 9:00PM – TBD (M100 – WM95 v WM96)
