Buffalo Juneteenth kicks off 50th anniversary celebration with flag raising

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The community gathered Monday morning as the Juneteenth Flag was raised in Niagara Square, kicking off Buffalo Juneteenth’s 50th anniversary celebration.

Recognized as one of the largest and longest-running Juneteenth celebrations in the nation, Buffalo Juneteenth will be returning to MLK Jr. Park this weekend to celebrate the culture of Buffalo’s Black community.
