MONETA, Va. (WFXR) – The Smith Mountain Lake community is preparing for the 13th Pirate Days celebration.
For the past five years, Goodhue Boat Company Blackwater has hosted Pirate Days, but this time, the festivities are moving to land.
“Due to changing conditions at our old venue with the property, as far as what we could and couldn’t use on the property, in addition to the current lake levels,” Pirate Days commodore PJ Nagel said. “It forced our hand, and we needed to look elsewhere for a venue.”…
