A man who authorities said matched the description of a “suspicious person” in a northwest Chicago suburb died after running into a body of water Monday, police said.
Palatine police said officers and Illinois State Police troopers were attempting to stop a man they believed matched the description just before 6:15 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of East Twin Lakes Drive.
As they tried to stop him, police said he “entered a nearby body of water and did not resurface.”…
