A convicted felon from St. Louis has been sentenced to 189 months in federal prison after stealing a woman’s firearm and vehicle, robbing two men he met through a dating application, and later using the stolen weapon during a shootout in the city.
U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Clark imposed the sentence Friday on Corey M. Felton for crimes committed during a two-week period in 2024.
According to court records, Felton’s crime spree began on Nov. 27, 2024. He was supposed to drive a friend home, but instead took her firearm, pointed it at her, and ordered her to exit her vehicle. The woman had recently collected her belongings from a former boyfriend’s residence following the end of their relationship, and Felton drove away with both the vehicle and her personal property…
