New mental health outpatient clinic coming to Eugene in July

EUGENE, Ore. – A new mental health outpatient clinic is coming to Eugene to address a growing need for mental health care in Lane County.

Kairos is a mental health care provider that has operated several clinics in Grants Pass, Medford and Coos Bay for nearly 50 years before expanding north to Lane County. Kairos also currently operates a residential treatment home in Eugene with five patients, but says the new clinic on West 18th Avenue near Chambers Street can provide support to more than 200 patients in the first year.

“Lane County, like much of Oregon, is underserved when it comes to mental health services. Oregon, unfortunately, ranks near the bottom when compared to other states,” said Scott Rogers, development director at Kairos. “So we feel that the need to expand here is almost an emergency.”…
