Chase opened its first branch in Asheville at 1860 Hendersonville Road and has plans to open three branches in the region over the next three years. A second branch in Asheville at 99 Merrimon Ave. is expected to open later this year.
JPMorgan Chase opened its first branch in North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2019, and now has nearly 60 branches in the state and around 1,000 employees. Chase is the largest U.S. bank by revenue, with assets of $4.9 trillion and $364 billion in stockholders’ equity, as of March 31.
As part of its grand opening, JPMorgan Chase gave $250,000 to Mountain BizWorks, a community development financial institution, to support its Business Buyer Accelerator. The accelerator provides training and resources to the next generation of entrepreneurs to take ownership as retiring business owners prepare to transition their companies.
In April, Chase announced plans to consolidate two offices where 600 people now work into a new Charlotte corporate office in SouthPark, with plans to eventually have more than 1,000 employees. The new office is expected to open in early 2028…
