Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) – The Union Pacific “Big Boy” train is making a stop in Western New York as part of America’s 250th birthday, and a watch party is set for Tuesday.
Steve Kocsis of the WNY Railway Historical Society is hosting the watch party Tuesday.
“Basically we’re going to watch the train go by,” said Koscis with WBEN. “We’re at the Heritage Discovery Center at 100 Lee Street in Buffalo, and the Northern Norfolk Southern tracks run right by our building and our future site of our railroad museum there. So we’re going to set up, we cleared all the brush off along the fence line, so we get a good view of the engine. And it’ll be coming into Buffalo on Tuesday, and we expect it to be early afternoon by time it passes us.”…
