Westhill schools deny blame in alleged hazing incident

The Westhill Central School District is denying that it is to blame for the hazing incident that took place within the boys lacrosse program in the spring of 2025.

According to court filings, in response to the lawsuit filed by the parents of the two boys who were the victims of a fake kidnapping by upperclassmen on the lacrosse team, the school district says that the two boys “assumed the risk of engaging in the conduct that they engaged in after school hours.”

The Westhill district has now demanded the lawsuit be dismissed…
