Arkansas TV doubles down on local programming alongside PBS

Even as Arkansas public television retains its PBS affiliation for at least another year, Arkansas TV leaders say the network’s future remains firmly focused on expanding locally produced programming and educational content tailored specifically for Arkansans.

“Our promise is to deliver more local, educational programming as part of our ongoing schedule that includes content from a variety of providers, including PBS,” said Arkansas TV Executive Director and CEO Carlton Wing. “We have already started developing shows that serve Arkansans well, tackling health concerns, healthy cooking on a budget, and kids’ programs to foster early learning.”
