Webster Groves neighbors push back on plan to remove 30 parking spots for bike path

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Some Webster Groves neighbors are pushing back on a city plan that could eliminate about 30 parking spots on South Elm to make way for a new walking and biking path.

The resurfacing project stretches from Glendale to Watson roads on South Elm Avenue. It has been on the city’s radar for about a year, but this week the city released the results of a survey on redesigning the road.

For years, curbside spaces have been part of life on South Elm in Webster Groves. Neighbors use them. Some residents depend on them. Now, they are at the center of debate…
