Man charged with involuntary manslaughter in 2025 fatal crash

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis Circuit Court judge signed an arrest warrant for a Ferguson man for a car crash a little more than a year ago that left one person dead and another injured.

According to a probable cause statement from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on May 28, 2025, at North Broadway and Calvary Avenue, in the North Riverfront neighborhood.

Police said Javon L. Harris, 31, was driving a Nissan Altima at 68 miles per hour when he ran the red light at the intersection and crashed into a dump truck. The driver of the dump truck was injured.
