GRANITE CITY — A 55,000-square-foot warehouse at America’s Central Port in Granite City leased by the developers of Hollywood River Studios was unveiled during a brief ceremony and tour Monday.
The warehouse — a former U.S. Army facility for repairing rail locomotives — will be used to store equipment for location shoots, according to studio developer Chris Breakwell. It might also be used for some actual filming.
“This is critical for our overall concept for the region, and it’s going to be more of an equipment base camp, movie trailers, all the trucks because it’s only 2 miles from downtown St. Louis,” Breakwell said…
