Former Wichita police officer charged in crash that hurt four people

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A former Wichita police officer was charged Monday in connection with a crash that hurt four people.

The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office said the former officer, Jayce Bennett, is charged with four counts of aggravated battery after allegedly failing to clear an intersection.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened on the night of April 18 at the intersection of First and Hillside Streets.
