Small fire making ‘great deal’ of smoke “no longer presents a danger” in Teller County

TELLER COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – A small fire making a “great deal” of smoke off of Painted Rocks Road in Teller County prompted Teller County deputies and fire crews to respond Tuesday.

Teller County deputies said a small fire was burning off of County Road 78, also known as Painted Rocks Road, near CO-67 around 11:30 a.m.

Deputies said pre-evacuation advisories were made, but were lifted as of around noon. By 12:30, Painted Rocks road was open to traffic in both directions…
