WASTHENAW COUNTY, MI – The human resources manager at the center of two whistleblower lawsuits brought against Washtenaw County had a prior romantic relationship with Sheriff Alyshia Dyer, a connection he acknowledged to MLive.
Jeremiah Richardson, hired for the role by Dyer the day she took office in early 2025, is also a former sheriff’s deputy, though he left the department in late 2022 while under investigation.
