CLEARWATER, Fla. – A Clearwater man is in custody after police say he aimed a laser at a flying Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office helicopter late Tuesday night.
The incident happened just after 11:20 p.m. while Tomasz Walek was standing at the highest point of the Memorial Causeway bridge. According to arrest details, Walek was actively pointing a laser lighting device up at the chopper.
