Man sentenced to prison after threatening Allegheny County official on social media

PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) — An Allegheny County man was sentenced to years in prison after he was convicted of threatening a public official and lying to the FBI.

Edward Arthur Owens Jr., 30, was sentenced by Senior United States District Judge Nora Barry Fischer to two and a half years after he threatened a local public official over social media with antisemitic threats, United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced Tuesday.

In May 2025, Owens sent the threats to the public official, saying, “We’re coming for you [emoji of person raising right hand] [German flag emoji] be afraid. Go back to Israel or better yet, exterminate yourself and save us the trouble. 109 countries for a reason. We will not stop until your kind is nonexistent.”…
