13-year Prison Sentence in Atlantic City Attempted Murder Case

Atlantic City, N.J. — A Gloucester County man is headed to prison for a shooting in Atlantic City back in 2024.

On Tuesday, 35-year-old Rockwell Pohlig of West Deptford was sentenced to an aggregate term of 13 years in state prison, subject to the No Early Release Act.

Admitted to Attempted Murder in Atlantic City

He previously pleaded guilty to the charges of first-degree attempted murder, second-degree possession of a handgun for unlawful purposes, second-degree certain person not to possess a handgun, and second-degree possession of CDS with intent to distribute.

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Pohlig admitted to attempting to kill the victim in this case, “N.R.,” by shooting him outside of The Chelsea Pub in Atlantic City on October 12th, 2024.
