SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – The Red River Revel in Shreveport is turning 50 this year, and the community-centered celebrations will begin in August.

It just felt right to make the 50th Revel be more about ‘us’ than anything else.” Lewis said. “The Red River Revel was created by local volunteers, vendors, and community organizers. And the music lineup is a reflection of the community that gave it to the world.”
An exhibit titled Reflections will be at Artspace in downtown Shreveport starting on August 21 through October 25; the exhibit is in partnership with the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl and the Shreveport Regional Arts council, organizations also turning 50 this year.
