CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Charleston County is starting an $18 million project to increase capacity at its Bees Ferry landfill without expanding its footprint.
The county will repurpose two existing cells to add 20 years of space to the landfill, which currently has five to seven years of capacity remaining.
