CPD invites community to ‘Casting with C.O.P.S.’

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Columbus Police Department (CPD) is inviting the community to join them for a day of fishing on the Riverwalk on Friday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

CPD’s Community Policing Unit says ‘Casting with C.O.P.S.’ is a free event for the public to come out and enjoy a day by the Chattahoochee River.

According to CPD, this event is a great opportunity for residents to unwind after a long work week and personally connect with local law enforcement.

CPD encourages those who plan to attend to bring their own fishing gear due to limited equipment. CPD says everyone will meet at the splash pad located on Bay Avenue.

To RSVP, please reach out to [email protected]. Anyone under the age of 18 is required to have a parent or guardian with them…
