Michigan nursing home resident diagnosed with Legionnaire’s disease

There’s a new case of Legionnaire’s disease in Oakland County, this time at a Bloomfield Hills nursing home.

It’s unclear if the patient at Woodward Hills Rehabilitation, 39312 Woodward Ave. in Bloomfield Hills, contracted the illness there. Water tests are underway as county and state health officials investigate.

The nursing facility has 190 beds and is operated by Optalis Healthcare, which has corporate offices in Novi and Dublin, Ohio. The company has not responded to MLive’s Wednesday morning request for comment…
