Jacksonville Fugitive Wanted for Assault on Law Enforcement Officer Arrested in U.S. Virgin Islands

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands — A Florida fugitive wanted on multiple charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, was arrested on St. John after investigators linked him to a local business, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

50-year-old Robert Gary was taken into custody on June 2, 2026, in Cruz Bay, St. John, by members of the U.S. Marshals Service, the Virgin Islands Police Department Special Response Team, and special agents with the Virgin Islands Department of Justice.
