When Chester Hembree was asked to give roadside assistance, he didn’t know he’d help bring a baby into the world that day.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation truck driver was driving down Interstate 40 in Knoxville, Tenn., when he saw an emergency unlike any other he’d seen before. According to CBS8, Hembree — who is used to helping stranded drivers — helped mother Katina Few welcome a baby on the side of the road as she was on her way to the hospital.

“We were driving on the way to the hospital, and he decided he didn’t want to wait until we got to the hospital,” Few recounted to the outlet. “He wanted to come while we were driving down the road.”…
