LIVE RADAR: Afternoon storms moving through Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Heat and humidity are sticking around, but rain chances are building as we head toward the weekend.

Afternoon highs stay above average through the rest of the week, and once you factor in the humidity, it will feel like 100 degrees or hotter for many neighborhoods during the hottest part of the day.

Today and Thursday follow a pretty typical early-summer setup. A light southeast breeze will allow the west coast sea breeze to form and push inland. That means the best chance for showers and storms will be near and just east of I-75 during the afternoon and evening.
