Dominion says NextEra merger will make energy more affordable, but some disagree

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — How will Dominion Energy’s proposed merger with NextEra Energy affect you?

Ed Baine, Executive Vice President of Utility Operations and President of Dominion Energy Virginia, told Virginia’s Commission on Electric Utility Regulation on Tuesday, June 9 that the merger would include nearly $1.8 billion in bill credits for Virginia customers spread over two years if the merger is approved.
