A cadet from the Kosciusko Fire Department is among the newest class of firefighters completing an intensive state training program at the Mississippi State Fire Academy in Jackson.
Kris Mosley, representing the Kosciusko Fire Department, is a member of Firefighter Class 221, which will graduate 27 students from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1010 Firefighter I-II certification course during a ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the academy’s auditorium in Jackson. The graduation is open to the public.
The seven-week program is designed to prepare recruits for the realities of modern firefighting through a combination of online instruction, classroom learning, and hands-on training.
