WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The United Way of the Plains says data shows that one in three Sedgwick County households are living paycheck to paycheck.
The nonprofit organization which connects residents in need to services that include health and financial assistance said data from its annual ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) report shows that 38% of Sedgwick County residents are living paycheck to paycheck.
ALICE households work full-time and make enough money that they are considered above the federal poverty line, so they don’t qualify for aid programs…
