Seattle police won’t release video of hit-and-run driver that ran over people on sidewalk

SEATTLE — Seattle police are not releasing video of a car that drove onto a sidewalk and ran over two people earlier this month.

The May 31 incident was captured by the city’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) cameras at the intersection of 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street, KOMO News has confirmed.

The department denied a public records request for video of the incident, and a spokesperson said there was no indication the department would be releasing the video as detectives continue to look for the driver…
